1. What made you join Homeless HEAL?
I joined Homeless HEAL because I was looking for extracurricular volunteer activities to get involved with during Covid. Homeless HEAL as an organization stood out to me the most because the concept of teaching health-based topics to those struggling with housing insecurity sounded really rewarding
2. What was your favorite experience with Homeless HEAL?
My favorite experience with Homeless HEAL has been teaching oral hygiene as a student educator. As a predental student, I really enjoyed preparing the presentation on oral hygiene and working with the lead instructor and the other student educator.
3. What do you want people to know about Homeless HEAL?
Homeless HEAL is a great organization to get involved with if you are looking for volunteer opportunities. Teaching classes is not the only thing volunteers can do within Homeless HEAL; members are also encouraged to get involved with the various projects that are centered around improving the housing crisis within the San Diego region. The people within this organization are super helpful, welcoming, and down to earth!
4. Do you have any hobbies that you’d like to share?
Reading, sewing, running
